Best answer: there are many different lasers on the market for laser tattoo removal. all of them have their strengths and weaknesses. it usually requires more then one laser to remove a tattoo. q-switched lasers (fda approved) currently are the most effective.. Laser removal is very expensive. it never removes all the ink so you will have splotches and it is notorious for scarring. the better alternative is always a cover up tattoo.. Laser tattoo removal is the most efficient and reliable method to eliminate unwanted tattoos. but it is safe and effective only in the hands of experienced and expert surgeons..
